Taking
C222_44611351_31 C241_13829_59 Edit: With so many numbers in the 14e queue, maybe we should split this thread into 2 threads? One for reservations and one for results? Or maybe even 4: 14e reservations, 14 results, 15e reservations, 15e results? Last fiddled with by VictordeHolland on 2018-05-18 at 15:59 Reason: more threads? |

I don’t know if we need this - 14e recently had a surge of numbers in preparation for the BOINC Pentathlon. But the bulk of the sieving is done now and the influx of new numbers seem be slowing considerably. I suspect 14e will be back to normal by next week. 15e will take longer of course but it moves at a much more stately pace. Just my opinion.

I'd like a separate 15e reservation/results thread; there are hardly any interesting 14e factorizations, but a fair number of 15e jobs have stats worthy of later review. Having a thread for just 15e makes it easier to browse for those signals among less noise.

Although I don't think it's strictly necessary, I too would be in favor of separating 14e from 15e (though not so much results from reservations).

On this logic, I took the unilateral step of redoing fivemack's plan in the opposite way: leave the current thread as the 15e thread, such that all the 15e posts in history are in the same thread, while separating the 14e posts into their own thread (since the history of 14e is less interesting and thus more amenable to separation). I'll slowly continue moving posts as soon as the latest thread separation clears up in the DB.
