No problem! It spurred me to go ahead and compile ECM-GMP as well because...well, why not? So ECM-GMP is also now available once I fix the gmp.h issue.

Since the problem may be with the GMP build and not the msieve build, it wouldn't hurt to go ahead rebuild GMP also. Make sure there are no errors that you might have missed last time.

ETA: I assume you did 'make check' and 'make install' after building GMP?

Phil,

I did indeed run make check and make install and didn't encounter any errors there.

Wasn't it 'sudo make install'? So much time from my last GMP compile...

Usually, when using MinGW I build few enough 3rd-party libraries that I can afford to just plunk their header files and their static libs directly into the MinGW tree. For GMP you can move gmp.h to <base MinGW dir>/include and move .libs/libgmp.a from the GMP build directory to <base MinGW dir>/lib. Putting files in the include and lib directories of the MinGW installation lets gcc see them automatically.

You don't need any other configuration to use GMP and GMP-ECM.

Luigi,

I'm compiling on Windows, so to the best of my knowledge, sudo isn't required. GMP itself compiles without any errors, so I don't think the issue is there.
