very large exponents

Yes you can get a large exponent like this. Download the nofactor.zip file from http://mersenne.org/gimps/ Also download the decomp.exe uncompress the former and then run decomp -t begin_range end_range This should give you a set of numbers to test. Note even with the fastest computer a 77M exponent will take a year or so.

Also make sure you post your choice in the LMH forum.

LMH forum is also to reserve exponent for LL testing of such exponents ?
I have not to email to Woltman or fill the manual test form on primenet ?

No you need to email George or fill out the manual form only if you wish to take an exponent that is in the ranges currently being assigned by Primenet. Note that the manual forms - if they were working - would assign you a number automatically.

While you do not need to, you can always go and ask George for a number via email. He will be morethan happy to respond. I would also suggest that you get some idea of how long a number would take on your computer, what are the chances of it being prime and whether you are willing to wait that long.

of course , mine was just curiosity, but I think that some days I 'll try with such an exponent .
