I ran my search for completed bases and our lists are close, but I show base 70 with an open sequence at 70^72: 201/181, due to a merge with 1074.

After our previous discussion, I no longer considered merges as remaining and removed them from my spreadsheet resulting in base 70 having zero remaining. Semantics really. I was wanting the list verified more than anything. |

I factored:
82^92 C142 61^99 C139 770^60 C140 It's nice to work on just a single params file, trying lots of different settings. Sadly, I have not yet found the magic key to the 10-15% more speed I expect exists. I'll continue on the list from post #684. If any of those numbers get factored, please delete them from that list? Also, may I delete the ones I've factored from there, so I can more easily see what is still available? |

720^56 and 1058^51 terminate
This leaves 2 remaining for base 720. I brought all of the cofactors for same-parities up to C>=120 tonight. There were 9 such sequences for starting-size <=185, all originally with factor 3 in them. All are done now. In doing so, I found some sequences that might be of interest: Ed, you might like another one with no known factor to ECM t45: 91^85: 165/165 It's interesting how it dropped the 3 factor along with everything else on the current iteration. Mike, if you need more work, here are a couple at ECM t35 that you can add to your list that fit your criteria: 1210^52: 161/142/3 92^84: 165/145/5 |

Edit: The current two sets have been removed from post #684. Last fiddled with by EdH on 2022-08-17 at 12:19 |

Indeed, this is of interest. I will try to queue it when this current one finishes, but I'm probably going to be quite busy through the weekend without time/access to do much. The current one is "supposed" to be done sieving tonight. I'm very curious as to whether it will complete on its own and whether the GPU will work, and if so, how much time it will knock off the Msieve LA.

You can also remove the above sequences from post 1 and 684 to avoid confusion. Gary |

I factored:
69^99 C145 88^94 C143 I had some other ~C140s from other sources (like my own 13^n aliquot work) that I've also been cracking. I've removed these two from post #684. I'll do 88^92 overnight. I'm picking composites by estimated factoring time until I'm back at my machine- so I'm bouncing all over the list. |

92^90 terminates
Ed, that was extremely impressive break of the C173! I think you said your machines spent about a week on it. Please take credit for it. It took ~2 mins to terminate after you were done with it. Base 92 is an extremely difficult base. Before this, the biggest termination was 92^76. Nearly all remaining exponents have a factor 3, 10 out of 11 to be exact. The one that doesn't just dropped the 3 on the last iteration. That gives an idea of how amazing this is. |

Kudos to Ed again for cracking the C165 !! |
