LLR Version 3.8.16 released

Hi All,

I uploaded today the version 3.8.16 of the LLR program.
You can find it now on my personal site :

http://jpenne.free.fr/

The 32bit Windows and Linux compressed binaries are available as usual.
The Linux 64bit binaries are also released here.
I uploaded also the complete source in a compressed file ; it may be used to
build the Mac-Intel executable and also the 64bit Windows binary.
This LLR version is linked with the Version 28.7 of George Woltman's gwnum library.
I released also a cllrd binary, which is linked with the debug version of this
gwnum library.
You can see in the Readme.text file, what is new in this release.
There are no new feature in this release, but the main goal is to improve the Roundoff errors
checking and recovery, taking into account the remarks from PrimeGrid project members.
For details, see my quote response to "Stream" in the "LLR Version 3.8.15 released" thread.
On the other part, several bugs are fixed ; for example, several ABC formats caused a crash...
- Above all, I hope it will help to resolve the AVX problems, if any remain...
As usual, I need help to build the 32bit Mac Intel binary, and also the 64bit Mac Intel and Windows ones.
Please, inform me if you encountered any problem while using this new version.

Process explorer shows that "your 64 bit is " instead 32 bit app?

and release before ( 3.8.15) is 64 bit app

ok, I have fixed it. There was a wrong link to the 32bit gwnum lib.

I never implemented this code, and I do not intend to do that, for several reasons, the main one beeing it would interfere with several other devices of the LLR input logic presently implemented...

Hi All,
Iain Bethune sent me this remark :

We are wondering what will happen if we have a buggy host that generates round-off
errors, then the FFT size is increased, but it still generates round-off errors.
What will happen - will it just keep increasing the size forever, or is there some
limit after which LLR will stop trying larger FFT lengths and just stop?

To avoid such a problem which may be endless in case of a "pathologic" and unlucky pattern,
I made and test this update in Roundoff error logic :
- To avoid endless retries, AbortOnRoundoff option is forced when
testing with the next FFT length is used. Then, the default is continuing
the test with the next term in the input file. But the user can override this
behavior by setting -oStopOnAbort=1, and then, deciding manually to continue.

I just uploaded the source, Win32, Linux32 and Linux64 binaries accordingly.
Please, Reb, would you rebuild The Win64 applications from this updated source?
