But seriously, Tom, are we there yet?
Oh wait, that didn't come out right... I meant, would you need some help sieving? I'd put my 2 percents, and there's probably another dozen guys who would. Quote:

You should be able to manage about 5MQ per week running eight threads on an SNB, memory use is 1G virt / 600M real per siever. Last fiddled with by fivemack on 2012-08-16 at 07:22 |

Can we start a team sieve on this number with the proper reservation table on the first post?
I want to help but I need some help under linux. First I need the location of the 64-bit version of Siever 15e and a brief explanation on how to run it under linux (flags, etc). Thank you. Carlos Edit. Another thing I remember I need some help, is it possible to start the siever on the startup of linux as on windows? Probably the flags are different. Anyway, I'm trying to search my doubts on the forum. Last fiddled with by pinhodecarlos on 2012-08-16 at 09:27 |

I am using gnfs-lasieve4I15e 64-bit linux version as compiled by batalov, but I can't find a link to it on the forum at the moment: 'gnfs-lasieve4I15e' is apparently a stopword and unsearchable :( if a red person has the link please update this post to be correct rather than whiny
Example command line is Code:
gnfs-lasieve4I15e snfs -r -f 123400000 -c 100000 2> 1234.t & Code:
gnfs-lasieve4I15e snfs -R -o snfs.lasieve-1.123400000-123500000 -r -f 123400000 -c 100000 2>> 1234.t & |

Is this the right one?
http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?p=163932 SB: No way - erase it immediately. Its hovercraft is full of eels. I'll build a newest-svn static binary at the oldest kernel machine I will find so that it hopefully would be compatible with most computers. Last fiddled with by Batalov on 2012-08-16 at 18:38 |
