Default Prime95 Gave Up on Completed Test, Started New One

I'm controlling this machine using SSH...

[Work thread Dec 12 10:27] M48266609 is not prime. Res64: [I'm leaving this out]. Wd8: F7DBC361,672518,00000000

I then pressed Ctrl-C. This apparently backfired because I couldn't start the program again, So I disconnected the SSH connection, and reconnected. When I restarted Prime95, the client immediately got a new assignment from the server. It hasn't even mentioned M48266609 since the restart. When I checked my assignments page on Primenet, M48266609 was still there.

It ends there. I still have some save files for the offending test; but that test has been removed from worktodo. The client window itself scrolled past the finished residue hours ago. The only way to recover the residue that I can think of would be to answer that perennial question: Is it possible to recover information that Windows remembered due to Ctrl-C, but then overwritten by a second Ctr-C?

Is the residue to be found in your prime.log file? (I'm guessing that's where you got the lines that you initially posted in this thread; if that's still there, you can dig the result out of the log and report it with the manual form.)

Alternatively, is results.txt present, and does it contain the residue?

If the residue is not present in either of those files, you can try restarting the test from your latest save file. Add the following line to your worktodo.txt:
Test=FDAFF082357375A62BAA8BEA124F27FC,48266609,69,1
then make sure that your latest save file is named properly so Prime95 will pick it up (that is, it should be p2N66609, not p2N66609.bu or .bu2). Restart PRime95, and it should resume the test right where it left off. When it's done, it will report it normally--though hopefully this time it will go through right.
