The v4 server used to hand out expired or abandoned exponents nightly at 0600 GMT, so around that time was one's best chance at the smallest available first-time LLs (I built myself an orphanage of 28-32M babies last month, when the normal assignments were up around 45-46M). Does this purge happen on v5? If so, is there a set time each day that one should request exponents? If not, is there an easy way to see what the smallest available first LLs are? (I know about the "Exponent Status" report in v5, but it can be like searching for a needle in a haystack to pick out, say, the last remaining exponent in a range of 1M).
Also - I notice that the current v5 assignments are progressing through the 46-47M range, while v4 seems to have left off around 44M. Will v5 eventually cough up the intervening exponents? |
