I doubt this will gain traction in any Republican held state. The Republican running for president has only won the popular vote once since 1988.

Meanwhile, back at the Kremlin:

‘The perfect target’: Russia cultivated Trump as asset for 40 years – ex-KGB spy

Shvets, who has carried out his own investigation, said: “For me, the Mueller report was a big disappointment because people expected that it will be a thorough investigation of all ties between Trump and Moscow, when in fact what we got was an investigation of just crime-related issues. There were no counterintelligence aspects of the relationship between Trump and Moscow.”
I don't know how to gauge the truth of this.

Supreme Court rejects Trump election challenge cases
Quote:
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a handful of cases related to the 2020 election, including disputes from Pennsylvania that had deeply divided the justices just before the election.

The cases the justices rejected involved election challenges filed by former President Donald Trump and his allies in five states President Joe Biden won: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Please forgive me for this, but...

The "rest of the world" watches this a bit like we watched the incredible Mars landings.

But rather than an amazing accomplishment of engineering and software development smarts...

...it is instead a bit like watching a train-wreck in slow motion in real-time.

This is your problem to solve. Internally.

Those of us outside simply need to manage the influence of the "energy" you hold because of historical reasons.

I trust that makes sense.

And not every person needs to say so each time something like this is posted in this thread or another. Number theory doesn't appeal to some. Transportation accidents don't resonate with some. There is no need to carp about it and tell others that you are less interested in the topic than they.

Please accept my sincere apologies if any offense has been taken by what I've said.

The point I was *trying* to make is while the USA is very important, it is not "the world".

The BGP "Autonomous System" numbering is a simple example of this.

Without question, you guys do amazing stuff.

But we're not sure your house is entirely in order... (If you know what I mean...)

Understood, but the solution is not reducing info posted on the U.S. (which one can ignore if they find it uninteresting). I'd love to read stories on interesting machinations of other countries -- such as last two years brexit thread.

Perhaps the lack of such threads is due to well run countries with less colorful characters in charge.

Perhaps... 8-)

The men will hate to hear this, but countries run by women have been safer.

Benazir Bhutto and Aung San Suu Kyi are examples of good women, but countries that are lacking in safety. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Dilma Rousseff being examples of women that are just as bad as the men. And many people in the UK have not so great memories of Maggie.

With Charles Taylor it was almost impossible to find anyone that would not have made his country safer. The bar was very low, but Ellen Johnson Sirleaf did not keep it low. She did much for her country.

I invite all and sundry to view the title of my 2021-02-23, 21:04 post to this thread, whose topic was the 2020 US general election. I thought the news item marked a fitting end to the subject. I had thought of closing the thread with that post, and now regret that I did not do so. I am now remedying that.
