Why am I getting the factorization of a 64digit number instead of a 61digit number?
Why does the DB say that this number is 2*3^{24}*19^{18}*363889*109912203092239643840221 instead of 2*3^{18}*19^{18}*363889*109912203092239643840221? I checked in Pari/gp, and it says this:
Code:
(18:11) gp > factor(3226950014783883023598007090793710151258504258637092076077562) %1 = [ 2 1] [ 3 18] [ 19 18] [ 363889 1] [109912203092239643840221 1] (18:11) gp > 2*3^18*19^18*363889*109912203092239643840221 %2 = 3226950014783883023598007090793710151258504258637092076077562 (18:17) gp > Last fiddled with by Stargate38 on 20170317 at 22:26 Reason: 109912203092239643840221 instead of (19^191)/18 for clarity...

Problem with (10^79181)%(10^791)/9
Hi all.
There is a problem with http://www.factordb.com/index.php?id...00000900935563. It's proven prime, but it's still shown as composite at http://www.factordb.com/listtype.php?t=3, which gives some inconveniencies during automatic factorization. I hope the factordb's admins can manually set this number prime. Last fiddled with by VolMike on 20170318 at 08:50

I'm also having problems with 2*3^{14}*19^{18}*363889*109912203092239643840221, 2*3^{16}*19^{18}*363889*109912203092239643840221, and 2*3^{19}*19^{18}*363889*109912203092239643840221. They also have the wrong factorization.

I've just sent Marcus an email listing the various problems I can see in factordb (the ones on the first page of composite numbers and the composite in the list of PRPs). I'll let you know if he replies with anything interesting.

I've had a reply from Markus saying he has very little time at the moment, but will look at it soon.

Two more problems:
The distribution of probable primes shows one of 22 digits. But the list of probable primes at http://factordb.com/listtype.php?t=1 doesn't show anything (unless you set min digits to something larger than 22). This is probably why the status page doesn't show the smallest PRP now. The list of composite numbers at http://factordb.com/listtype.php?t=3 has a similar issues at 22 and 30 digits (and possibly some more between those ranges). Chris

reporting factors problem
I am reporting factor to composite.
Factor is known from 2014, but 'source' number is still marked as 'C'. After reporting factor db shows attached screen. Regards, cubaq

What on Earth is wrong with these number entries?!
What's going on here?!
http://www.factordb.com/index.php?qu...at=1&sent=Show x=14, 16, 18, and 19 are showing the wrong factorizations. It's the same problem that's going on here. Please fix it! It's been like that since St. Patrick's Day, and it's getting to be really annoying! Also the DB workers are stuck on 743 numbers <1 quintillion that just won't go from C to FF, even though all the factors are already there, resulting in larger composites not getting factored.
