Prime95 error always in the 6 worker at the beginning

Hi, I have built a new workstation and I have launched Prime95 to check it. When I lunch the memory test, the worker number 6 crash always at the beginning. Someone know if it's possible that it's a hw problem or I can try to fix that? I have an AMD 5900x and crucial ballistix 3200 ( no oc. The problem occure either with and without the amp profile)

The CPU was faulty!!

Honestly, how is a CPU faulty? Each particular model type are all the same down to the micron. If one is bad then unknown thousands would be bad.

It goes smaller than one micron.

There are always defects in the resulting chips. Some defects are fatal, some are manageable, some are imperceptible. Impurities in the substrate and the doping. Poor penetration of the implants. Power fluctuations in the equipment. And about a million other things that make each chip, each transistor in each chip, unique.

As a percentage, I wonder how many made by Intel or AMD get "binned?" Both must run these things in lots, each with a unique identifier. Their quality control scheme would be a nightmare if they didn't.

All of them.

Nothing goes out untested. Faulty ones are discarded, weak ones are sold cheap, better ones are sold for a premium.

Yield percentage is very important to them. Too many discarded chips, or too few premium chips, and people start asking awkward questions.
