Don't see "roomplay" in dictionary lookup; if it's allowed, then:
roomplay -> playwright |

To make it more fun and by avoiding things like "bone-apple-tee" (which is a maybe known term, which is in fact no real word), I would limit to words that would be in a dictionary (no names and thought out words).

![]() I would say ixnay on "roomplay." It's not a word. I would also urge players, as a matter of common courtesy, to check that their offerings actually have viable successors. |

Wrightwood is a location name which can be the successor of playwright.
Roomsome is a British word but not very commonly recognized. Last fiddled with by tuckerkao on 2021-12-23 at 22:59 |

It looks like in English, this game runs into dead ends a lot. If we back up to room, the ones I can come up with are roommate, room-service and room-temperature none of which seem to lead anywhere without wandering away from English. Wright from playwright also doesn't seem to be particularly viable, except as a part of a name.
There are a lot of compound words in English, but not so many words that are both beginnings and endings of compound words. |

[If we can go by 'found in a dictionary' as qualifier, then "er" qualifies (https://www.dictionary.com/browse/er), thus:
Wrighter -> ergo ] But, moving back to "room", how about we close the circle and go with: ballroom -> roomer (https://www.dictionary.com/browse/roomer) Last fiddled with by LordJulius on 2021-12-24 at 02:43 Reason: spacing |
