According to intel a P-M 1.6 ghz is equal to a P4 2.4ghz in performance. So it seems your P-M is bad for PRPing.
I guess then you should stick to sieving. May be Prime95 (George) can answer this question for us. Citrix |

I have a P-M laptop and a P4 2.66 laptop. P-M 1.6 has a much better overall performance than P4 2.66 on a laptop. But not a good performance on PRP.
P4 2.66 laptop is not good on a daily basis because of its temperature (real hot) and I cannot stand its fan sound. And also it shuts down because of heat when I run PRP on it. So I'm waiting for the end of the warranty period to replace its P4 2.66 with a little celeron. Anyway do you have any news about chuck's supersiever. If it becomes real I'll have to find some place for my PIII boxes and a way to run 4 or 5 boxes with just one monitor. Any ideas? drakkar |
