I return home from a lengthy trip Saturday, and I plan to continue refining CADO parameters for C135-C150 files. As such, I'll soon need a supply of C138 to C147 numbers to factor. Will this project be able to help with that supply?
It would be nice to have a bit more steady supply than the ones I get from running aliquot sequences. |

I'll start with the C141 Saturday, and then a couple of the C140s. If you and Gary could skip those specifically, just C140 and C141 will hold me over for a couple days (and hopefully through to publishing a c140.params). I'll post which specific sequences get factored in batches of 3-4 (like every 2 days) as well as the batch I'll factor next. Glad I can help this subproject while I get this testing done. :) |

Although they won't show up anyway, I reserved all of the c140/141 sequences listed above for you. Do you need more c141s? I could bring in some with a term in the 16x range.
Unless you manage to terminate a sequence, you probably don't need to let us know progress. From my point all my scripts check each and give me a current status a couple times a day. I think Gary has some scripts that recognize changes and he then does ECM, but that would be on whatever the next cofactor would happen to be. We appreciate any help. Thanks! Great to have the help from Mike (Curtis)! That's a good list for him, Ed.
If any same-parity sequence has a STARTING size of <= 180 digits (at index=0), it has been ECM'd to t35 unless someone recently worked on it. > 180 digits starting size, I have not touched with a couple of small exceptions. So a few of the ones that Ed posted in that list will have no ECM done on them. I just checked all of the sequences with C140s and the C141 that Ed reserved for Mike here. All the C140s have been ECM'd to t35. The C141 (57^99) has been ECM'd to t40. (With a smallest factor of 1151 it got a little extra interest from me.) Believe it or not, I do all checking of sequences manually. I just spend enough time at it that it looks like I might have scripts. (lol) What I do is check most of the more interesting sequences (based on my scoring method previously discussed a while back) about once a day. Any open sequences that are mentioned anywhere in this thread, I check several times a day. If these really tough sequences were not mentioned here, I would not see any changes to them for several weeks unless someone mentioned a termination here. So you can sneak things past me! :-) Ed, I was thinking about posting all of the bases with 1 and 2 remaining here later on Saturday since we just completed a bunch of them. But your list with the extra info. is more helpful than the list that would come from my spreadsheet. Doing 277^69 and maybe 200560490130^14 were the only ones with 1 remaining that I was going to suggest that we perhaps attempt to complete bases for. Both have factor 3 and look tough. 277^69 is certainly where to start. It might be easier to complete some of the bases with 2 remaining than with 1 remaining. Bases 241 and 288 both have 2 sequences remaining with current size <= 160 digits. And then there's base 281 that is super easy now that you cracked the C148 on 281^69. Only 281^67 remains there. It is 156/121 with a factor 3 so I'll run it until a cofactor looks a little heavy for my setup. I have been working on quite a few of the sequences of current size < 150 digits. I've terminated several that were posted previously. There are now only 11 remaining. All have been fully ECM'd. I'm going to work some on 2 more of them. Then I'll post a list of what is remaining. In addition to your list of bases with 1 and 2 remaining, I think we can work the current size < 150 digits list. I added an iteration to 281^67. It's now at 156/135/3 full ECM. I'm done with it. It is the only sequence remaining for base 281.
I will do some work on 14316^38 and 338^63. |

I started work on 277^69, and quickly turned up a c165. I was expecting it to take just over 2 days, but CADO-NFS has been stuck in polyselect since last night with no progress. For some reason all the clients quit.
In light of this "omen," I am going to opt for working some smaller of the "two left" bases after I run 281^67. I'll probably run the two base 42 sequences and then review the lists again. They are both <160 ATM. I also seem to be losing the machine tasked with making updates to post #1. I have transferred that work to one of my RPi's. They've been slacking a bit, anyway. |

For those who have not seen my notation before, I always list the smallest faster last. "Large" means no known factor. Many of these should be a fairly quick effort for fairly large resources to bring to size < 140. Very few factor 3's and two of them with no known factors at all. All but the one are a little heavy for my tastes/resources. There were ~14-15 of these ~3-4 days ago. Ed brought 2-3 down with various efforts and I've expanded what I will do to bring it down some more. Below is a list of sequences with no factors. These could be knocked out fairly quickly with somewhat large resources (except maybe the last one). The final column shows amount of ECM. The first two are also on the list above. Code:

CADO isn't smart enough to send another WU out for a higher range to reach 100%, sadly. In other news, I came home to a 103F (~40C) day, and my house took 6+ hours for AC to cool to some reasonably tolerable temp. I haven't fired up my desktop yet, so C14x jobs will wait a day or so for this heat to ebb a little. |
