I am only working on exponents with no factors found :)

I have found 1157 exponents below 100,000 that cannot be tested with mfaktc.

Included in the list is the current lowest unfactored Mersenne number, M1277, which is missing TF history from 57 to 58.

If someone has an old copy of Prime95 that can test these gaps, it will help fill in the missing history. I haven't found an old enough version of mprime that will run on my recent operating system.

There is 1201 GHz-days of work. I don't know how much wall time that would be.

Considering how much ECM work is done in this range TF57-58 is pointless. Better do some more ECM :-)

I wet my nose into the list (i.e. queued them all), they are all mfaktc-able except for the first two, with an older version of mfaktc with a patch that can TF expos over 2k.

For the first two, I will use personal tool, CPU, about 50 times slower.

Keep all the results, of course.

I should have all the "missed" TF work from 35M to 80M done in a couple of days. No more factors found so far. The work from 100K to 35M will take a few weeks.

Yeah, well, technically, there will be no factors, due to the ECM done in the range, and especially since the 57-58 level was swept by few other users (TJAOI being the last). This is only as an "exercise".

Edit: Assuming I do them, how to report them? (Just tried, and it doesn't work, error 40, no need). Not so much about credit, as about "setting the DB right", but the credit won't hurt either

I'm going to be email Madpoo about half a million results, and he's going to manually import them somehow.

Yup, when you're done, PM me and I'll give you my email address to send your logs. I'll manually add those entries into Primenet so they'll show up in the history... no more wondering about the gaps since they'll officially be plugged.

How nice that this is going to be settled once and for all.
