I believe Applenews was pointing to This Forbes column. It now has the addendum

Perhaps the reviewers confounded critical thinking with "critical race theory." Of course, to R's, one is as bad as the other.
Well, I followed the story around the web, and around the world, after "accidentally" listening to Trevor Noah's comedy news. Wife is subscribed and she sends me links when it is really funny, and I got that because it was about math. Which got me very intrigued, especially with the funny way he presents it. You must see it (easy to google). I was thinking what the hack? What can be CRT in a math book for middle school? Two plus two doesn't make four, or what? People got the story dissected and I searched/watched as much I could about, and at the end it seemed true, the books did contain indeed some stuff that could be interpreted as CRT, like for example biographies ("the first black man/women who got a PhD", or such similar stuff, written in some manner that could be seen like racist). So they were right, somehow..., in their opinion...

This of course, doesn't mean that I agree, I personally believe that people over-react a lot about this racism stuff. What defines a person is their actions, not the color, religion, sex, sex preferences, ancestry, what their parents did, etc. Most of this stuff is exacerbated just because people reacts to it.

Sorry for replying so late : there are two interpretations possible of your post (although the "this" of your post refers to the link you provided.)
The ban is not satire : Florida Department of Education : Florida Rejects Publishers’ Attempts to Indoctrinate Students.

The 1970 act explicitly protected “fish,” which were initially defined as invertebrates.

Read more at: https://www.sacbee.com/news/californ...#storylink=cpy
But: https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=fish+skeleton&ia=web especially https://www.earthlife.net/fish/skeleton.html
And more precisely, fish for the purposes of that legislation was defined as a catchall term including invertebrates in general and also spawn and eggs of the covered species.

Default NASA provides many jobs, and does good stuff...

It is not actually all that difficult to understand the bizarre economics in these equations...

Let us all please hope it don't go boom...

Even if it does... Still lots of telemetry...

Everything is an experiment.

Some are more expensive than others...
