Reserving 2145k candidates 2336-2441. I plan to test those to 1M, or at least to 100K. They are already done to 20K.
10544249 is done to 616K, no new primes. Normally, I don't like to get personal, but... My Life Is A Disaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is nothing good left for me anymore. I am wondering if I should even continue to live. ![]() ![]() ![]() -Sad5214 Last fiddled with by kar_bon on 2009-02-19 at 10:07 |

How many cores are you running on this and what is their speed? Even on new machines, your reservation is likely 20+ CPU years of work. I'm fairly certain that my 10 quads would take at least 6 months to complete it, i.e. 20 CPU years. BTW, I've read not to ignore people when they threaten their own life or make such statements as you did. Seriously, are you OK? I'm sure we could get you a # to a counseling hot line that could help you if you would like some help. Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2009-02-24 at 11:07 |

Oh, cool! You're taking k=102765. That's one that I took up to n=400K as one of my first effort's in prime searching. It's also the one that I found my first top-5000 prime on: 102765*2^333354-1; barely above the 100's of n=333333 primes that were at the bottom of top-5000 at the time. There were so many of them that it came in at 3797th place. I also took k=16995 and 26565 up to n=400K at the same time. That is some serious work! Good luck! ![]() Gary Last fiddled with by kar_bon on 2009-03-26 at 08:52 Reason: typos corrected, see post #24 |
