Code:
//Name (and path, if needed) of your yafu executable.
yafu_cmd = yafu-64k-win32

//Name (and path, if needed) of your msieve executable.
msieve_cmd = msieve149
I would also change the name of the Aliqueit exe to make it easier to start. Change aliqueit_win32.exe to aliqueit.exe or aliquot.exe. That makes it way easier to type....

No problem, somtimes it's the simple things that get missed.

The next step will be to get GNFS integrated if you want to run fully automated, but that will depend on your job size tolerance. You can also run the GNFS jobs on a different system and feed the factors in by hand....what do you think would be the maximum size job you would contemplate?

The smallest sequences are all at 110+ digits, so you'll have to tackle a c108 as the first step......

hopefully a size that would still allow me to do other things to pass time since this is my personal computer ( though we have a laptop here). I think my CPU is 2.8 GHz. see I use PARI a lot and prime95 is running so that slows things a bit but, I don't always need the maximum memory PARI can allow.

Looking back at some old logs, you could probably do a c108 in ~16 hours on a single core, 1/2 that on two cores. You would want to stop running Prime95, though, since it will get starved of cycles while the NFS job is running.....

okay thanks for the info, should I pass any exponents I have off or restart them after the job is done ?

Actually, you can just leave P95 running if you like, it will just run slower.

The next question then becomes: what is the biggest job you've done. Do you have GGNFS set up so you can attack a c108?

biggest thing so far is the test you gave I'll see what I can do to get GGNFS, looks like I have to join the group to get it ?
