I did something wrong, but don't know what. On start up Prime95 tells me it cannot open spool and log file any more.
Anybody can help me? lidocorc |

Yes. I think it most probably means that the program has no write access to the files or to the folder (typically with Vista programs cannot write to the "Program Files" folder.)

I'd better give you more datails about what happened.
I terminated prime95. Then I started it again, but not by a reboot. I started it directly by a doubleclick on prime95.exe. When I did that I was logged in as a normal user without administrative rights. Since then prime95 seems to feel itself like a program without sufficient rights for writing into its basic files. There is no doubt, previously it did have these rights. Could it be that something changed in one of these ini-files? I'm sorry, I have no backup of them and cannot compare. Thank you for help. lidocorc |

optionally, open a command prompt window and use sc start "Prime95 Service" (if you have more than one instance, then "Prime95 Service-0",1, etc). (quotes ARE necessary)
