Default New M51 Poster Set

I'm happy to announce that our new M51 poster set will be ready starting Monday 5/6.

It's a 12 poster set that contains all 24,862,048 digits of M51, printed at a very tiny font size as we do with all of our posters. This is our first set though - lots of work, but fun. The total dimension is 73.5 x 49.5 inches give or take 1 inch if you overlap the small margins.

The digits are printed using professional equipment else they wouldn't be readable so small. On the flipside, if they were much bigger, there wouldn't be enough room in a house to hang this set. We also use a thicker paper so dents can be avoided.

One of our trademarks is printing small text/digits right through whatever artwork we add to the poster. In this case (see pics), we simply have descriptive text about M51, but the digits flow right through it. We offer a few different colors - not for the digits but the other artwork in the poster.

You can learn more from the link below or post here with questions (hopefully my post isn't considered spam).

Feedback is welcome. Thanks.

It will be on Amazon as well - the listing is still in progress.

Having done offset printing in the past, could I please ask you what technology you are using? What is your "screen" (if any)?

Even at 600 dpi each digit would only get a few pixels. May I assume you are not using offset, but rather inkjet or other tech?

Many have wanted this product (a large number represented on atoms), so this post is not considered spam.

However, your low cost per item suggests this is not mass produced, and your link doesn't explain the printing process. Understanding how you've done this would be very welcomed.

Sincerely!

I'm using a digital press which has 2400dpi, so I get lots of pixels per digit and excellent definition. Inkjets are the best for printing color, but they can't produce dots small enough to do this sort of printing. I've tried. :-) Because this printing is for my business, I don't share a lot of the specifics as to how I get it done. It's not to be a jerk. I'll do my best to answer specific questions about printing methodology, but keep that in mind.

After having designed the document, the printing is pretty much automated, meaning there's no touching up or tweaking what the printer outputs for me and I can print many at a time. But there is a personal touch required with trimming down the printed sheets. Each sheet is trimmed down to 12.25 x 24.75 in order to remove unprinted area.

I had problems with your website earlier today using Chrome (not showing the content in the middle of the page). Right now on Opera it is ok.

I'm looking at it now in Chrome and don't see any issues but I will keep an eye out. Thanks for pointing it out. Maybe it was because of me updating content.

I get a blank page, completely blank, nothing shown.

I don't have JS, and it appears that your site requires JS before it even shows a single pixel.

So until you fix that problem, how much do these things cost? I would have looked for myself but, alas, your site refuses to let me spend my money.

What device are you using that doesn't support javascript? I think any online store these days needs javascript to do pretty much anything. This poster set will be on Amazon also, but I suspect you'll have the same problem - though I'm not sure.

Right now the price is about $75 plus shipping/handling. I may add a few bucks to the Amazon price because of the huge fees they charge.

It is a choice that I make to not have JS.

But a website that is completely blank is unusual. Even Amazon will show pictures, prices, reviews etc.

Anyhow, $75 is good. I'll see about the Amazon option since your site is unusable.

Do you disable it to suppress ads? Anyway, the Amazon link is:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RCCKZC4

but keep in mind I have it as out of stock, so it looks like Amazon prevents looking at the different colors. The available colors for the artwork on the poster, not the digits, is Red, Blue, Magenta. The digits are always black for readability.

Default M51 Poster Set Now Available

I just wanted to let everyone know that the M51 Poster Set is now available at either our store or on Amazon at the following links:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R95VRGX

https://www.exatextposters.com/p/the...5-x-495-inches

At our store (ExaTextPosters.Com), you can also find M37 and M38 posters in the Prime Numbers category. I know M37 and M38 aren't exactly the talk of the town these days but they were well-behaved for fitting on a single page (unlike M51).

If anybody has questions, feel free to reply here or get in touch through our store's contact page.
