I'm sorry if this has been discussed before (I did a search and didn't find any thread titles regarding this) but has PI, Inc gone out of business? Google indicates their site is "no longer in operation."

I believe it was run by Richard Crandall, who died back in 2012.

Their websites say that.

FWIW they did indicate that they were "in transition" about a year ago.
They did have a facebook post in April.

I think that we should start looking into a banner printing service to print posters for the latest primes.

What height would you all suggest?
How much (in US$ for simplicity) would be considered fair (shipping excluded)?
How tiny of a font is too small?
Any other considerations? (a QR code to the discovery thread?)

I can try to find some price quotes. I have an in-law in the printing trade, they may be able to point me in the right direction for a good rate. Shipping, payment, and customs are an easy thing to deal with.

I dislike what PSI did with the multimillion-digit M-primes, shrinking the font to microscopic size. I suggested to REC on several occasions to fix the font and offer the posters in a scroll and/or multipanel format. That way the area of successive posters (length of scrolls, if one fixed the short dimension of these) would give a nice visual way of conveying the size of the ever-growing primes bestiary.

Would appreciate your asking your pro-printing in-law how much a scroll-form version of the current largest prime would cost, if printed in the same font as the earliest M-prime posters put out by PSI. I wonder if a "scrolling frame" is available for such a format.

What is the minimum point size that you are looking for?
