I was doing some LLR tests earlier today, and the power went out. When the power came back, I turned on the PC, and I could not resume that LLR test since the save file was corrupted. I had to restart the test, but that isn't a big problem for me.
My main concern is, did my lresults file (the one that has all the residues) get corrupted as well? It contains a LOT of work, and I'm not sure how many of those residues are trustworthy. The lresults file can still be opened and read, but I'm wondering whether a line such as: 2577*2^582781-1 is not prime. LLR Res64: 574A41B3AFA1E9ED Time : 384.930 sec. can be changed to something like this: 7777*2^582781-1 is not prime. LLR Res64: 9911FFEEDDCCBBAA Time : 384.930 sec. |

My guess is that anything that had already been written to the results file should be OK. Possibly if the outage occurred while some information was being written to the file, *that* particular information may have been garbled in some way. On the other hand, if the outage occurred at a time when the results file was not open (i.e. nothing was reading from or writing to the file), it is quite possible that there were no noticeable effects on the file.
