GMP Memory Allocation Issues
I wrote about this before where gmp-ecm would fail with this
GNU MP: Cannot allocate memory (size=4294959136) this is on a pc with 64gb ram of which about 36gb is free, gmp-ecm was only using 16gb at the time. Is this a limitation of the GMP library or the way in which Win 7 manages memory? If it's the former is there a version of gmp-ecm compiled with MPIR instead? |
