Default Where have all the TF results gone?...

I noticed that the "Recent Cleared" Primenet Report is not showing any (Trial-)Factored results. Any idea why?

(OT. Sorry, I can't let this question go by.)

Where have all the TFs gone?

Where have all the TFs gone?
Gone to DCs every one.

This has 619 factored in the last day...though I can't speak for the time since you first posted.

And considering the ranges I suspect most were TF

141 previously unfactored exponents was factored in the last 24 hours before your post.

14 Factors in the most recent ... Recent Results (about 3 hours) (Not F-PM1 and Not F-ECM)

https://www.mersenne.org/report_recent_results/

But 0 in the most recent ... Recent Cleared
which has a much wider window of time reported (this one 6 days)

https://www.mersenne.org/report_recent_cleared/

So we are finding factors but they are not showing up on the Cleared report.

And since the factors are for larger exponents 89-700M and NOT from TJAOI they are almost certainly First Factors.

However, currently two of our biggest factorers from the past are not currently factoring.

Yes, that´s it. Only F-PM1 and F-ECM are making their way to the report. The TFs are being recorded but not displayed. Madpoo will most probably have some plausible explanation.

If something needs to be "tweaked" anyway I would vote for defining a F result as worthy of the Recent Cleared Report only if it is a First Factor for that Exponent.

That is, cleared from the list of potential exponents needing LL tests.

The subsequent factors could still be reported on the Recent Results Report.

Same would go for F-PM1 or F-ECM.

Who's with me?

No that's a bad idea.

Recent Results contained everything, including unsuccessful factoring attempts (types NF, NF-PM1 and NF-ECM) . There is so much stuff in there that the hourly report is often truncated.

Recent Cleared contains only residues and new factors. Only types C, F, F-PM1 and F-ECM.

If "Cleared" is confusing, then the title should be changed, not the content of the report. Maybe "Recent Findings".

Every new factor is a find, and every residue result has non-zero value, even a redundant triple-check of an already double-checked residue, simply because residues risk being erroneous and are laborious to verify, so every confirmation is a contribution. (Whereas reporting the same factor twice has no value at all, because factors are utterly trivial to verify).

I agree with GP2. Only redundant factors (e.g the ones reported over and over for exponent 4096) should not be displayed in the report. Everything else repesents some form of progress, no matter how "glamorous" it might be.
