Default PCI Express 3.0

Quote:
"With the Z68A-GD80 (G3) MSI introduces the world's first PCI Express Gen 3 mainboard. With ultra-high 32GB/s transfer bandwidth, PCI Express Gen 3 is 200% faster than PCI Express Gen 2. This allows the MSI Z68A-GD80 (G3) to process huge amounts of data and information, maximizing the performance of AMD CrossFireX and NVIDIA SLI multi-GPU solutions."

There's even more amazing technology out there, if you have the money for it.

Look at the ioDrive by FusionIO (especially the "octal")

That is an SSD for the PCI-Express slot 2.0:

My link is about a new PCI-Express slot version 3.0 which has double the maximum bandwith, so all cards that can support it will be faster including that SSD if it works with 3.0.

But more important for "GPU Computing" it will speed up GPU applications where memory bandwith is the bottleneck.
