Unhappy Assignment key error in Prime95

I’m working on a double-check test. It’s trying to my expected completion date (tomorrow) but I’m being told the assignment key belongs to another user. It DOES belong to me! How do I fix this? I was told to visit this forum for help.

Glenn (my actual user name)

Welcome!

Are you using Prime95 (Windows) or mprime (other OSes)?

It may happen that either of those can "forget" your user name. Depending on which version you are running, you can try to re-set your user name in the PrimeNet sub menu.

Would you mind sharing the exponent (NOT the assignment ID)? That way we can look if the assignment is properly connected to the user name you mentioned.

Prime95 v29.4, build 8, for Windows 10. My exponent is 56616689.

I've downloaded v30.3, doing PRP for 110,817,649, and am apparently 3.2% complete.
However, I can't display that version.
I plan to discontinue 29.4 and switch to 30.3 after I finish 56616689. How should I proceed?

I’d like to keep my current User ID since finding a new one would be difficult.
I’m still getting the “PrimeNet error 40: No assignment” error, as I have since yesterday.

Have you checked the settings in the Test/PrimeNet... sub menu? Is your user name entered here?

Looks like that double-check will finish early tomorrow morning.
Can I Quit GIMPS on version 29.4 afterwards, and continue testing on version 30.3?
I don't really need two versions running at the same time.

You can stop Prime95, exit, copy the new version of the .exe and .dll's into the folder (overwriting the old versions), and then restart Prim95. The LL test won't be affected.
