Hi, any help appreciated.
I am wondering why when I log into my account at GIMPS and look at the account summary page, I have nothing in the following fields/areas:- 1. Stats for the last 365 days; 2. CPU Results last 24 hrs; 3. CPU Results last 90 Days; 4. Lifetime Stats; 5. PrimeNet 1000 Most Recent Results; 6. PrimeNet Top Overall Producers? The "Computer Details" field is OK as is "Computer Properties." I have been number crunching for 4 days now and although I haven't yielded any results yet, I thought there would be something in at least some of these fields? Please help, and apologies if this has been answered elsewhere; I had a look but couldn't find too much. Thank-you. |

You will get a some stats AFTER having submitted a result. Only completed work-units are counted. This is understandable for LL tests : those tests are a yes or no answer to the question is the number tested prime. That answer comes with the last calculation. See the The Maths page on the the GIMPS site. You can find more on the Mersenne wiki although some of its pages are outdated because of new software on the server.

Thank-you for the prompt reply. You have put my mind at ease. I thought I was missing something. I will wait till the program send through some results. PATIENCE.
Supplementary question (I did a search on Default Preferences - no return). Since I have fiddled with the default settings under the options > preferences menu, could you or anyone tell me what the original settings were, and any beneficial improvements in your opinion which can be made to same? I'm thinking in particular "Iterations between results file outputs" and "Days of work to queue up" Many thanks :) |

It's set by (in v25.11): Code:
ITER_OUTPUT_RES = IniGetInt (INI_FILE, "ResultsFileIterations", 999999999); Quote:
Code:
DAYS_OF_WORK = (unsigned int) IniGetInt (INI_FILE, "DaysOfWork", 5); Last fiddled with by cheesehead on 2010-07-26 at 00:53 |
