Since you guys seem to like fun stuff, I propose that everyone who has a computer available at midnight New Year's Day(or a half-hour later to allow for any make-out sessions ;) ) post what time zone your in and a short message(anything having to do with New Year's, even a simple 'Happy New Year!!!')
You guys game? |

If we get a lot of participants, then the United States(mainland, lower 48) and Europe are definitely covered. The problem, I think, is Hawaii and China, not sure about that area that used to be the Soviet Union(I'm horrible at geography, can you tell? :) )
What time zones does Australia have? |

We'll probably get tripped up at the second hour (between NZ and Sydney) as you're reliant on the east of Russia and many small islands through the western pacific.
NZDT is GMT +13 AEDT is GMT +11 ACDT is GMT + 10.5 hrs AWDT is GMT +9 hours Singapore (and most of east Asia) is GMT +8 |

The new year came just minutes ago in Hong Kong. I have two main wishes for 2007, which I will keep to myself.

Hey, if I'm counting right, it's 2 hours from here to GMT, plus 5:30 to India, this means "Happy new year, Mally!" And happy new year to jinydu, rgiltrap and everyone from GMT+3 on!
I'm in GMT-2. I probably won't be able to be on the computer at midnight, but happy new year everyone, and let's hope *everyone* finds their own Mersenne prime this year (it costs nothing to dream) |
