I think we should multiply the PRP scores of the stats page by at least 1000. Right now, even ltd only has 875 points, whereas hardly anyone has such a low score for sieving.
There won't be a technical difference, of course. But I think it would better reflect the efforts... P.S.: "sieve Results returned per month:" is the only heading where sieve starts with a small "s"... ![]() |

The internal point in the DB are in reality a factor 10000 larger.
So there would be no problem at all to change the points. Lars Edit: The factor was wrong corrected it from 1000 to 10000 Last fiddled with by ltd on 2005-12-29 at 08:41 |

Now, it's about 0.09 points per PRP test, if I'm not wrong. IMHO this scoring system doesn't give the contributer the feeling of "doing something remarkable". Also, the very low scoring system can make the potential contributers may feel that PSP is a very small project.
So, psychologically "countable and predictable high" scores are better for the project. drakkar67 |

drakkar is right. Most people avoid DC projects that have very low scoring systems. I'll admit that I am one of those people, but I've been able to put it behind me with PSP. Whatever your decision I'll support it, but you may draw in more members by just adjusting the point system. |

PRP points modified. INstead of a correction factor of 10000 i use now a correction factor of 10. Tell me if you like it.
By the way no stats on wednesday. I am out of town. llrnet server should run all the time. Lars |

Much better - I'm not sure if they are completely comparable, but it's less than an order of magnitude now.
