Sierp base 12 and Riesel base 13 update
Status from Carlos (em99010pepe):
404*12^n+1 is complete to n=79.6K. He decided not to test 288*13^n1 so that one is now available. It had already been tested to n=62K and a sieved file is available in the sieving thread up to n=100K. Gary

Are you searching any more k's right now? If so, I'll show them reserved by you to keep any doublework from happening. Also, if you want a file sieved to P=400G on any k that you're interested in for Sierp base 16, I can send it to you ~1011 PM today CST US (45 AM Thurs. GMT) after our big sieve is done to that point. Thanks for searching. Gary Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 20071226 at 20:50

Michaf has started and reserved Riesel base 31 and is continuing. There are currently 43 k's remaining at n=5K.

Reserving k=64518 for Sierp base 16 up to n=100K.
This is by far the highest weight k remaining. The file is 50% larger than any other. Getting rid of it will help speed up the big sieve.

Status report on k=2908 for Sierpinski Base 16:
Tested up to n=75810 as of this posting. I switched to Gary's provided sieve file today, since at p=400G it was sieved much deeper than my original sieving (about p=121G). Still no primes as of yet. Last fiddled with by mdettweiler on 20071228 at 02:58 Reason: fixed a typo

It didn't take long after reserving heavyweight (relatively speaking) k=64518 for Sierp base 16.
64518*16^36998+1 is prime 53 k's remaining. That removes 9726 testing candidates from the big sieve. Much better!

Sierpinski Base 16 k=2908 status report:
Now at n=83622. This is sort of a milestone because I am now in top5000 territory, so if I find a prime, it will be reportable! Still hoping for a prime on this one before I reach n=100k and release it. It's very low weight (relatively speaking) but I'm still hoping I'll be able to knock it out.

Riesel base 16 started
I am reserving Riesel base 16 up to n=25K for all k's. I started on it Friday. There are 40 k's remaining at n=19K. I'll post what is remaining on Sunday after it has completed.
I've temporarily stopped the 'big' sieve on all k's for Sierp base 16 to n=200K at P=450G in order to do this. What I think I'll do is sieve all of the Riesel base 16 k's to n=200K to P=400G and then post all of those sieved files. I'll then continue on the Sierp sieving. Gary
