Congrats on your new system! May the first exponent you test be prime!

Your last picture shows that you haven't enabled XMP for your memory. (Unless your memory is 2400MT/s?)

Why not stand the system on blocks to increase the clearance (I've done that with one of my systems)? Or can you replace the feet on the case with something taller to get the same effect?

PS as case exhaust fan is the way to go, and for me it's not close.
The PS will run cooler with a large supply of warm air than a restricted supply of cool air, and my case airflow is overall likely to improve.

Thank you very much sir. I wish the same for you.
FTR I would be more than happy to just get a 1st to 5k Prime.

Those are all default values and for the time being I am following the manuals suggestion of going with the default values.
I am planning to gradually optimize things. The game mode is supposed to be an easy way of overclocking the CPU. The Newegg sales support did not have a clue if the CPU they were selling was locked or unlocked. I will have to look up the serial number at some point.
At the risk of getting beat up, I find Ubuntu a nightmarish OS which keeps asking for authentication password after every command and no matter how hard I try to disable the authentication it just keeps on giving.
I am planning on fashioning an aerated stand out of couple of cookie cans for the PSU airflow. I could also lie the case ion its side but run the risk of stepping on the glass door late at night.
BTW thank you very much for all the help and replies. Much appreciated.

That is a good idea. I love those bottom mounted power supplies that draw their air from the bottom. It means the power supply has to worry about cooling only itself, and not exhaust hot air from the inside of the case. It makes the power supply run much cooler.

The biggest advantage to this is that you can add as many exhaust fans to the case as you like without having to worry about competing with and interfering with the power supply's fan.

Congrats on the new toy! It looks really cute!
But something is wrong with it, we don't see the seven Radeon VII cards there... (7R7, ha, I should patent this!)

When I want to run a bunch of commands as root on Ubuntu, I just run "sudo su".

That gives you a root command prompt.

I actually avoid Ubuntu due to systemd.

Is it really no longer possible just to use "su"?

Just tried "su" on Ubuntu 18.04. Authentication failure.

Tried "sudo su", same password, got shell prompt with a # at the end instead of $.
