Default Arte to the rescue.

This area is something of a whiteboard for me and will be washed but in the meantime the first two links describe how I perceive what I've found and my explanation of what it is respectively. You may need to listen to the explanation more than once to understand what is being said. In the third link, Sammy has some thoughts regarding ethical conduct... .
(I had posted this in another forum regarding "high roller cheating" and I thought it apropos to add it to his "translation.")

Dijkstra ..once remarked, "A picture may be worth a thousand words, a formula is worth a thousand pictures."

Dijkstra's style: his approach to programming as a high, intellectual challenge; his eloquent insistence and practical demonstration that programs should be composed correctly, not just debugged into correctness; and his illuminating perception of problems at the foundations of program design.

To demonstrate the concept of recursion, Knuth intentionally referred "Circular definition" and "Definition, circular" to each other in the index of The Art of Computer Programming, Volume 1.

“Some people have got a mental horizon of radius zero and call it their point of view.”
-- David Hilbert

[I like how Knuth's and Hilbert's observations work together.]

"Nothing is more useful than to be able to distinctly separate what one knows from what only supposes." Oliver Heaviside on imagination 1885. (Source: Strange Brains & Genius, Pickover)

Bell's own interpretation is that locality itself met its demise. (Source: Wikipedia); ..kind of pun-ny..Schrödinger's cat.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

– T.S. Eliot, Four Quartet

A risk is a chance you take; if it fails you can recover. A gamble is a chance taken; if it fails, recovery is impossible.
