I'd better give you more datails about what happened.
I terminated prime95. Then I started it again, but not by a reboot. I started it directly by a doubleclick on prime95.exe. When I did that I was logged in as a normal user without administrative rights. Since then prime95 seems to feel itself like a program without sufficient rights for writing into its basic files. There is no doubt, previously it did have these rights.
Could it be that something changed in one of these ini-files? I'm sorry, I have no backup of them and cannot compare.
