My guess is that (atleast for the consumer level)...

My guess is that (atleast for the consumer level) Ampere cards will perform quite poorly for LL/PRP and the like... according to techpowerup's GPU database, the 3080 ...

I would suggest waiting for Ampere or even RDNA2...

I would suggest waiting for Ampere or even RDNA2 to drop - even if you don't get those cards I suspect the second-hand older gen cards will drop in price.

mfakto has often been a pain to use with multiple gpu's... it is somehow connected with the output of clinfo(don't exactly know how)... something like -d 10/11 etc might work.

There's also a decent chance it's not using the best kernels. try running with --perftest.

But yeah... those gpu's were made for gaming and in most compute benchmarks it falls behind quite a bit.
