Many thanks for your efforts. The 1.0.11 version of sr1sieve runs about 10% faster than version 1.0.8. That's a nice boost! So, we will stay with sr1sieve for 3*2^n-1...

The 64bit version (K8) of the latest s1sieve 1.0.8 (http://www.geocities.com/g_w_reynolds/sr1sieve/) is about 10% faster than the K8 version of 321sieve 1.0.1!

I just tested geoff's new sr1sieve 1.0.5...

I just tested geoff's new sr1sieve 1.0.5 (http://www.geocities.com/g_w_reynolds/sr1sieve/) on our k=3 and found a nice little speed improvement of about 5% over 321sieve 1.0.1 on my 32bit Athlon....

proth_sieve is much slower if k is divisable by 3. And proth_sieve (as it's predecessor RieselSieve) is optimized to do a few k in parallel. Then it outperformes NewPGen. But for k=3, NewPGen is...

I'm willing to join the sieving and could dedicate a few GHz on it.

Since even with the new (faster) LLR the n=1-2M range wouldn't be completed in relativelly short time, there is plenty of time...
