No, a C102 can easily be solved by QS. It's not the ideal method, but shouldn't be more than 2-3x slower than GNFS.

You could read this thread... I mean, you quoted a post that literally said "use the suggested B1 for ECM in this thread", to say you don't know where to find B1. Read the thread.

If that's not...

No, I think your way is actually more accurate, since it measures when a matrix can be built of a certain density rather than using user-set guesses for number of relations to find.

You're wasting your time & electricity. mprime is the wrong tool for the task, and your curves aren't going to find a factor.
Run GMP-ECM, or wait for an upcoming P95/mprime with enhanced ECM.

I hope you mean you set B1 to 7.6e9 and let B2 be whatever GMP-ECM chooses. If you've set B2 = B1, that means you're not running stage 2 at all and that's not a good plan (to put it mildly).

So, OP: get that built, get the updated params files from the CADO subforum, and you're all set!

B1 is a single value, not a range. B2 is *much* larger than B1. Your example makes no sense.

Really, I mean it- consider all curves at B1 below 2e9 useless for M1277.
