I'd say most exponents above 9k haven't had t45. The majority of the unreported ECM is due to Ryan Propper. He has found lots of factors below 7k, a few between 7k and 7.7k, and not many above that....

I've only ever run one sizeable job with lpbs skewed by 2, which was a difficulty-229 quartic with lpb 32/30, but I remember needing substantially more relations than I'd initially expected - closer...

It will likely be ~20% more than a 32/32 job. I suspect 31/33 is not optimal when you account for this.

Possibly the strategy-2 composite factors bug. Once in every few hundred million relations, a relation will have a composite factor, and this makes CADO filtering quit, taking down the server with...

I'm fairly confident that A=28 with adjust_strategy=2 beats both I=14 and I=15 at c172. The I=14/A=28 crossover is probably between c165 and c170 IMO. There's been a bit of discussion in the...

Do you still have the bwc directory backed up from before you restarted? If not, then your krylov work is probably wasted and you're better off using msieve instead, as it's so much faster - at...

What revision of CADO are you running? This looks like this bug (https://gitlab.inria.fr/cado-nfs/cado-nfs/-/issues/30022), which has now been fixed. Try updating to the latest CADO and resuming.

Agreed on Abel.

Mentioning Hendrik Lenstra feels like a bit of mersenneforum bias creeping in? Many would place his LLL coauthor László Lovász above him.

As I understand it, a major issue with running lattice sieving on GPUs is that they have poor memory latency compared to CPUs. Every time the sieve hits a lattice entry, that entry must be modified....
