Started it running with 7 slots on a 6 core...

Started it running with 7 slots on a 6 core hyperthreaded system. It is taking much less memory so far than the earlier run --- 0.65G as opposed to 1.6G per process.

Looks like my choice of 1 process per core was (accidentally) correct. Still wondering whether n+1 on a n-core machine might be a better choice to soak up some of the hyperthreading...
