If found a way to set up something like a database; I think it will fit our needs, though it is pretty much manual and I will try to avoid unnecessary imports. Next update of the data is going to be on monday.

I posted some P-1 work as well, to prepare somehow later LLRing. I you want more of it, tell me, I can make a bigger file. The one I posted should be done quickly.

See you later, Yours H.

I came finally to import the latest factors, and posted the result as an attachment in the sieve reservation thread. Please use the newer, smaller, faster file.

I also posted some LLR work, and some new P-1 will follow.

Next import is planned for the weekend.

Yours H.

A new sievefile is out; we are at 4628 candidates now, and remove at least ten per day on a decent computer.
I suggest you update once you reserve a new range, to avoid errors in the updating of the range you are sieving. The speed increase will be about 5% maximum.
Since last week, we removed 170 candidates, from which 3 fell in the LLR ranges currently available. Thanks for sieving so well, everybody!

I'm currently on a vacation and can't do much; everything is going to be better wendesday, Friday latest.

@ET_: As fo the P-1 reservation, I decided to postpone it, as in your first one, 1/3 of the factors were already found by sieving.

Is there a new sieve file, released this week? Could you update the sieve file every week?

Thx

Going to be done when I'm back. Should have been done already, but there were other thngs with priority.

Citrix, what's with your range? Can you finish it until the next import? If you never wanted it, I can crunch it overnight.

It is almost done, the factors are on a network drive at work. There is some problem going on with accessing the network drive, don't know when I can send the factors. If it takes too long for me to get them, some one might have to redo the work.

The long-awaited import is there. We have found already 1150 factors on our 5500 candidates; that's a lot of LLR saved.

So, please, keep going, there are still many factors out; but I'll put some new LLR range there s well.
Thank you for your patience; when I came home, I realised I have more friends than I thought, and had to see them, of course.

Yours H.

hhh,

Could you update the sieve file before weekend?

Carlos

1) Next week I'm off, without internet connection, and I'm very happy about that. The weekend after that week, I' going to be back; and until Saturday, I'm still here.

2) I posted the last work I can offer you today, i.e. the last P-1-range and LLR up to 2M. Before I can post more, other work, I'll have to wait the return of some finished P-1 ranges.
With this last P-1-range being handed out, I think sieving further has become pointless; most of the remaining factors are going to be found by P-1. So I suggest just finishing everything up to 4T, and not reserving new ranges.
This means as well that frome now half a month, we are going to focus on the search of primes, and not only boring factors.

3) I wanted to thank all of you who participated with this project yet, the pace is amazing, and I fear/hope that we are going to need starting the sieving effort for the next stage (5M-10M) sooner than expected.

Yours H.

From my side I have work for three weeks unless I add more machines!! My first P-1 range, from 2500k-3000k, is almost done, only missing 2800k-2900k range.

Enjoy your holidays!!!

Carlos
