In mathematics, Euler's identity (also known as Euler's equation) is the equality

e^ i*pi + 1 = 0

Let´s transform this a little bit:

add 1 on both sides and square the whole thing.

That results in e^-2*pi=1, (shit Latex!)

which is apparently false !

If you make the trivial calculation you mentioned correctly, you will not get the result you stated.
