I'll have to try the trick you suggest next time I need to preprocess the 1M file...I didn't know srfile can go from -g to -G faster than it can go from -a to -G.
The abcd-format is already sorted by k-values, but differently stored, so srfile only have to find the header of the k-value and can create the newpgen-format easily.

The whole 160M or more candidates with -G take time to sort and write.

Yeah, I guessed something like that. I guess what I'm wondering is, is it faster to go from -g to -G, or from -a to -G? Or no difference? (The file needs to be in -G format, i.e. sorted by n primary and k secondary, for the team drives.)

Thanks guys.
Oh, whoops...I assumed you'd be handling that. I can send him files from the latest RSP2M file (p=1405T) but it will take a day or so since I've only preprocessed (namely: used srfile to convert it to NewPGen format, the most time-consuming step which takes a good 3-4 hours) the RSP1M file that we've been using for the team drives. I'll have to do that for the RSP2M file before I can extract his k's.
Oh, didn't I send you a PM asking you to do it since I was out of town? I'm just checking to make sure you received the PM.

No, I didn't get any PM about that. The last one I have from you is dated "04 Dec 10 07:04 PM" (EST).

(BTW: in the future, you may want to use the "read receipt" feature of PMs. That will put a link on your main PM inbox page which, when clicked, shows you if and when all read-receipted PMs you've sent have been read. I use it all the time...that way I know if someone actually just hasn't checked their PM box yet or if they're ignoring my message.)

I erroneously sent it to Gamer instead. Gad, the forwarding and responding to of PMs when there is more than one person involved is a pain here.
