Until (?) we get access to Wieb's files, I would like to reserve 363270 (sz 89) & 604560 (sz 91) to as high as I can calculate them.
I didn't think Wieb was working on the 600k range.
I didn't think Wieb was working on the 600k range.
That's true, but since we don't know exactly where he's currently at in his project, I just fudged things a little. (I guess we could call it the the Aliquot Sequence Uncertainty Principle!)

It's starting to look like it won't matter shortly where he is actually at, since, with the resources we currently have, it wouldn't take that long to duplicate his work.....I actually didn't think there would be this much interest in the project.

I am glad to see Wolfgang back online, since his page was among the first I found when I started working on sequences.

Look at the first paragraph of the "Getting Started" thread and you'll see why

Greebley 2009-07-24 02:25

I would like to reserve 14472. It has dropped below 100 digits and I will run it at least until it gets back up to 100.

gd_barnes 2009-07-24 07:20

I am now unreserving 12270.

This is one that someone may want to pick up. Although it still has a factor of 2^2, it just dropped its factor of 3^3 right before it hit a hard factor of C103.

I'll try to move some random sequence to its logical conclusion...

Full update! :bounce wave:

Greebley acquired the downdriver on 14472 at 101 digits, line 1044. This brought the sequence down to 71 digits, and the downdriver was soon reacquired, dropping the sequence all the way to 25 digits. Unfortunately, the 2^2 * 7 driver appeared at 64 digits, shortly after an escape from 2^6 * 127, and it has driven the sequence back up to 101 digits at line 2039.:cry:

Batalov acquired the downdriver in 218292 at 107 digits, while simultaneously losing a 3. The run finished at 97 digits and the 2^5 * 7 guide was acquired, but the downdriver was picked up again at 110 digits, and is our only active downdriver run.

Batalov also escaped the 2^3 * 3 driver at 107 digits in 223692. The sequence is now unstable but driverless at 120 digits.

I am guessing the reason for the slight reduction in activity down here is the subproject. Not that I'm criticising it: I helped create it

gd_barnes 2009-07-25 09:09

I am now releasing 11496 and 14160.

Reserving 153090 from the recommended sequences thread. It now has its squared bug fixed.

mklasson 2009-07-25 12:52

Letting 239232 go. c120 with 2^2*7.

gd_barnes 2009-07-26 22:20

Releasing 12456 and 101862.

Reserving 10824.
