Looks like it is time to start archiving the reservation posts again. I will move them in small batches every so often as I think large batches caused problems last time.

Looks like I missed the edit then.
Edits don't show up as new posts. If I have added dealt with the original post before you edit I probably won't see it. As long as I have dealt with all the posts above yours feel free to add it in yourself especially if I have missed something.

Just dipping a toe in the water.

Started with the last checked index (1456) at factordb.com, to confirm my software configuration was working ok. After about 12 hours index now at 1476 (working on 1477), so will continue unless I've missed something and I'm poaching someone else's work.

You seem to have it right. It might be worth submitting a few iterations to the factordb to check you started it right but otherwise you seem fine.

My apologies. I checked in the post on the 1st page with the list of reservations and the list on this page (http://dubslow.tk/aliquot/AllSeq.html). It wasn't reserved on either, so I thought it was open. I'll check through the pages from here on out.

Reserving 465312 and 685344. I used the search thread function in the upper right and neither number came up in any posts, but if somebody else has them reserved, please let me know.

Also reserving 94146, 787428, 72744, 224520, and 406626. They're all at small composites, so I figured I would tackle them quickly.

Batalov 2013-09-20 04:53

The search dropdown menu works very well with six-digit numbers as keywords. Select "Show Results as": "posts". (that's what I (used to) do)

I will add them now(bet he finishes with them tomorrow or something after me doing that:smile:)

Thanks Batalov. Using "Search Thread" with 783552 brought up the post you linked to, so I've been using it for the others.

Sorry about the confusion; the big machine turned out to run all-processors linear algebra jobs very slowly when there were other things on it, even if they had been kill -STOPped, so I rebooted it and forgot to restart all the auto-aliquot jobs afterwards. I also upgraded to SVN944 which had a segfault bug on medium-sized MPQS jobs, but I think I've fixed that now.

If you have adequate automation then I'd like to reserve

136192 384420 516408 930120

since I'm about to leave a large machine for two weeks with unsure login access. These are numbers of 119 digits or less that hadn't been touched since 2011.

(the list was a lot longer previously, but two CPU-years shortened it)

I could add them using regex and sorting but removing them later would be a pain. It would also overflow the first post. I have added a link the the first post this time. That has worked reasonably in the past.
I should create some scripts sometime. Part of the trouble is that sort of language is far from my specialty. It means I put off doing it.

OK, I'll delete them from my post as I finish them so that random searchers of the forum don't get confused, if that makes sense.

That makes sense. If you post when there aren't that many remaining(<20 maybe?) I will add them to the first post. Even then it will depend on how long you expect to have them for then. If it is a day or 2 it won't be worth so much effort etc.

@wombatman: Looking in a merger table, that is the 77392, which is unreserved for now. You can also see it, if you search/filter Dubslow's site for "25471" (one of the cofactors) and you get the only matching sequence in 5 seconds. Do you still want to reserve it? (both sequences are under 100k, so it may be that more work is done to them, which is not reported to factorDB, check with schickel). Generally, a sequence worked to 130 digits has a (very) high probability to have a head under 1M. Higher starters are not worked so high, with very few exceptions.

wombatman 2013-09-30 15:19
