@RichD & EDH :
A lot of thanks for your help !
I think so, but it will not be by IP. I think you must create an account on factordb and use this account when connecting. The limit should be set by account not by IP. If I well remember.

Maybe we should ask this privilege directly for a list of people (from here) instead of one by one individually ?
I tried again to update the page : impossible !
I can't even carry over my results at once : I have to do it in small batches and it's really annoying.
I won't try to update in bits and pieces, it will be too hard !
I wonder if it would be possible to ask for a "privilege" for some of us, just to be able to do the work ?

The person who is "sabotaging" FactorDB may not even be aware of the damage he is causing !
I myself was called to order one day when I wanted to report data that was way too big (post #10) :
https://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=22542
At the time, I was not at all aware that this could be a problem.
But now I'm an informed man !

;-)

Wouldn't it be helpful to put a small announcement in red on the FactorDB page entitled "Report results".
This little announcement would be a reminder of what limits it is okay not to exceed.
Forgive my naivety if my proposal is trivial, the administrators have certainly already had this idea!

Terminations:
96^62
96^64
97^67

They've gone to the effort of using many different IP addresses to subvert the hourly limit, so I'm pretty sure they know that they're doing something they shouldn't. They may not know why the limit is there, but one would have to be a complete idiot not to think that there's a good reason for it. Putting a more explicit warning up is unlikely to help.

Markus said he's working on a better solution, so hopefully the lower limit won't be in place too much longer.

This is really, really good news !

@Jean-Luc:

Would you like me to let you know when sequences in base 98 (ex 83-100) terminate, or will you automatically catch those during updates? I've advanced several within that range and 85 and 89 have terminated.

garambois 2022-02-17 15:00

Thanks a lot Edwin !
You don't have to tell me.
I'm doing a complete update, but manually.
It's long, it takes patience, but I'm about to finish.
We'll see more clearly !

VBCurtis 2022-02-17 15:07

Base 800 is complete to power 60.

garambois 2022-02-19 08:59

Thanks a lot VBCurtis !

Updated page for all bases !
Many thanks to all for your help !

I note several non-trivial sequences that ended : for example 34^75, 47^48, 65^26...

Can you please check the items that apply to you and notify me of any errors ?
Indeed, I can make mistakes when updating.
Thanks again to Karsten during the last update for pointing out that the data for base 39 was totally absurd !
It was hard to spot !

RichD 2022-02-22 15:55

I'll start initializing bases 92 & 93.
I'll start initializing bases 92 & 93.
Excellent !

As for me, I reserve the base 89 for initialization.
In a short time, we will have 7 more bases on our page.
We will then only have 8 bases left to initialize to have all the bases <100.

We move forward, we move forward...
