. . .
All 22 terminated sequences that I've posted here took < 2 hours each on an 8-core machine. Many < 1 hour. True low-lying fruit. :-)
I posted a note with the reservations block to try to have anyone who will take a while, make a reservation, so those of us that are running faster can realize those sequences are being worked. And, yes that low fruit is ripened. By making it readily visible, it seems that we are filling out some of the tables nicely.
Additionally, you would need [C]wc[/C], [C]wget[/C], [C]sed[/C] and [C]bc[/C] (these do not come with every Linux distribution by default).
Are you sure about that? [c]wget[/c] is a ubiquitous GNU utility, while the other three are standardized by POSIX and thus universal on Unix-like systems (even Macs have them, albeit markedly different implementations).

kruoli 2022-05-20 15:26

Yes, I am totally sure about at least [C]wget[/C] and [C]bc[/C] because I know that I had to install them by hand in some situations. I am not totally sure with the other two.

I assume that the most distributions which include a GUI have all of them installed, but since I am working a lot with "minimal installs" and headless installs, there the situation is different.

I was sure I had added those, but I've been editing the scripts and having some issues. (I even uploaded a post version with a listing of the working directory, without noticing right away.)

Thanks for keeping me on track and let me know of anything odd in the post.

It's perfectly normal to make mistakes when you are very active in the community !
Thanks for all your hard work Edwin.
Thanks to everyone else for your work !
I'll try to update this weekend, as the pace of calculations remains steady so far.

EdH 2022-05-21 12:21

I ran another full update on post #1. I think I still have all the credits intact (and no directory listing). Let me know if something is amiss.
