You've got me beat - I only have 16GHz at home, all devoted to GIMPS.

But, for the 3rd time this year, I'm about to load my 16GHz into the car and drive it halfway across the country, just so I can keep it near me during extended off-site business assignments.

And believe me, there's a real sinking feeling that goes with flipping the power switch off on 16GHz, knowing that it will be off-line for at least two days.

Addicted? Just maybe... :D

Last year I did some work, five weeks, at the Red Dawg mine in northern Alaska - have a look at a map, try to locate Kotzebue ... I left my machines on and regularly checked the primenet report to see if the boxes were updating, slow as hell getting the report over satellite ... when the power went off, I had to phone my brother and walk him through the powering-up process ...

I do not have a distributed computing problem ... :rolleyes:

Believe me, I've daydreamed about it. Not sure if the car air conditioner could handle the heat load, though. I do leave the laptop plugged into the cigarette lighter, so the trip's not a total loss.
