I know poaching is frowned upon, but in this case...:sigh:
That isn't the response : it negates the whole reservation system.
I could be those reservations are a statement about the ability to reserve exponents from CAT 0 and 1 through the manual testing pages. Jacob |
Ehh now Curtisc has approximately the same assignments?
https://www.mersenne.org/assignments/?exp_lo=52000000&exp_hi=54400000&execm=1&exdchk=1&exfirst=1&exp1=1
Is the poor pathetic loser nicknamed "El Dorko" back? May be. The reservations came from a Tor Exit IP address. Yes, the reservations are connected to the official curtisc account, but all one needs for that is to guess the curtisc account user login (but not the password) or have access to one of the UCMO computers. The original reservations did not come from the curtisc account. |
I wish there was a report available that showed how many of each version of Prime95 are in use.
Let's see if I can get some basic stats for the last month (September 2020) v4 client results = 10 v5 auto results = 201,069 manual assigned results = 3,513,541 manual unassigned results = 358,518 A lot of those manual results (both assigned and unassigned) come from GPU TF work, and gpuOwl since they can't use the API (maybe someday). But the bulk are TF results. Here's a table of the v5 clients that reported automatically. Getting client info from the manual results entries is possible but kind of a hassle to do in bulk. Sorry it's not formatted more pretty, but you can dump it into a spreadsheet if you really want to explore. :) I just sorted by the app name/version. Amazing there are 10 v4 clients still. Version5 started in 2008 around October if I remember correctly, so 12 years exactly.

Same stats from Madpoo, viewed a bit differently, in the attachment.
It would be interesting to see data for manual results breakdown, for LL, PRP, Gpuowl, CUDALucas, OS, etc. |
I was assigned my own CERT. I don't know if this is desired behavior, but I would think that independent verifications would be preferred, so maybe this is a server issue.

The hourly status report for the 10M range shows
https://www.mersenne.org/primenet/
Exponent Range | Composite Start Count P | F DC 10000000 61938 | 40933 21007
If we add 40933 and 21007 that comes to 61940, more than the 61938 primes stated. Also there is 1 "Status Unproven ERR" in the range! |
Not exactly server problem, but who knows...
I have noticed that one of my manual FT PRP assignments was already run. But the interesting part is it wasn't poached. Run was finished a few months before assigning to me...
How could that happen? The original run doesn't say it is suspect, so that shouldn't be the case. --- EDIT: Heh, sorry, I forgot to tell you, what exponent it is  [M]109001383[/M] |
