Take base with few K left, make sieve ( that will dramatically decrease number of candidate to test) , and make test with LLR rather then PFGW. Sr2sieve is far more faster any efficient then NewPgen, and you can sieve many K of same base in same time.

We never use NewPGen on this project. It is far too old and inefficient. Regardless it would be a big mess for the project if we had all of these largeconjectured bases searched to different depths. Actually we do use newpgen to build the input files to srbsieve.

There are a lot of other bases with only 1 k left, they can be a good point to start with.
Check [URL]http://www.noprimeleftbehind.net/crus/Sierpconjecturereserves.htm[/URL] (for Sierp site) or (easier) there: [URL]http://www.noprimeleftbehind.net/crus/tab/CRUS_tab.htm[/URL]. You should pick a Base which contains a sievefile, sieving S15 will take some time (~2 weeks on 24/7)

S 15 is also hard for beginning. Look at S70. It has sieve file already, so you just need to start :) I dont know what number of cores you have: but for start take range from 250K to 500K

If you want to assist on a base that has been started, but has a lot of remaining work, use srbsieve with S3 and bite off 1G. Another option is to take a range from R3 from n=25K to n=50K. There are quite a few. What we recommend though will be highly dependent upon how many cores you have available. 
If its okay with everyone, I'll be reserving S123 to n = 100k250k. Running on an I3 possessor. There was already a sieve file for this base.

Did you make one test, so, you can estimate total time ? Dont take big bite for first time.:smile: 
I do not recommend bases 3, 7, or 15 for a new person. That's a lot of overhead and admin and a lot of potential for problems with such big files.
S123 for n=100K250K is good. To get an estimate of how much CPU time it will take, please run a test at n=190K. Then multiply the test time by the number of total tests in the file. That should give a good rough estimate of how long it will take. You may find that you want to only do n=100K150K or 100K200K.

Do you go through 56 years worth of posts to find stuff? lol Your reservation is for S123, reserved on Dec. 30th 2016. I still have it reserved for you. If you are not working on your reservation at all, you should release it. It's not a good habit to reserve a base and sit on it for many months before starting. After a few months is when I'll send out a PM asking for a status. If I don't get an update or if no work has been done then I release it. We have a bad problem with new people coming on to the project, reserving way more than they can test, and then leaving or releasing most of their reservation. We asked you early on to make a test at n=190K and then multiply that time by the total number of candidates in the sieve file to get an idea of total test time. Have you done this and do you have an idea of how much faster this "supercomputer" will be so that you know how much time the new computer will take? If you are working on your reservation slowly waiting for faster equipment that is fine but some reasonable progress should be seen within 46 months.

It´s now tested up to n=351K without a prime, reserving this k up to=500K, I´ll take k=6 to the same amount when I´ve got free resources. (If someone else is interested feel free to take it. :smile:) k=68 has, like k=64, an very low nash.

I´m releasing S212 k=68, the results are attached. Pepi is overtaking the reservation up to n=500K. He asked me via PM, he was going to run dry.

Nope, sieving was incorrect. The riesel sieve file is testing SierpNumbers. (and other wise). The same happend on SR30 aswell. 
Unreserving S218 now until the sievefile is correct.
