What does keeping a laptop in the refrigerator accomplish? I keep hearing about this but it doesn't make any sense to me. :?

According to DC lore, it prevents your laptop CPU from throttling down to a lower speed because of overheating. (Fans in laptops are usually pretty wimpy)

... you get up early (6:00 UTC = Lisbon time zone) in the morning on a Sunday just to grab a first-time test exponent below M39 you know will be expiring that day :shock:

... you stay up (2 AM Eastern time; when I lived on the East coast) to grab expiring exponents.

... you automate the process of grabbing expiring exponents so you don't have to stay up late.

...if you port p95 for your video card hoping that you will clear more exponents without suffering gaming performance :D .

... if you switch to console gaming from PC gaming to free up more CPU cycles.

...if you buy a second CPU for gaming so you can keep prime95 bussy on :shock: ... WAIT :devil: ! That CPU should be running prime95 too :D !

I feel SO behind - "only" have about 14 Gighz total, and over 1 Ghz of that is in K5 machines (at ACTUAL CLOCK, not PR ratings).....
